Hi all..

I jb/unlocked using iliberty+ on pc...everything works, but how come I don't have the installer icon on my homescreen, but instead have "cydia"...My friend has 1.0.2 firmware with installer and it looks like the list of things to install is a bit different than mine on "cydia"....

If anybody can calrify for me....Is there a way to get installer on my phone, or is there no reason to get it?

Thanks so much

you can install installer through iliberty+ just go to the repository menu and download it then install. i use both installer and cydia. installer allows me to add repositories. i'll completely switch to cydia when they have as much package as installer has.

how about if if i wanted installer, and didnt want cydia? what do I do?

Also do I just open iLiberty+ and connect the iphone even though it is unlocked and everything...will anything "brick" on me?

Restore the iPhone in DFU mode (you can enter this mode in iLiberty+) to 1.1.4. When you're re-attempting the whole procedure, make sure you don't check Cydia. Instead, go to the "Advanced" tab, then "Local" and check the installer. I'd also install BSD Subsystem I were you. If you don't have these payloads you can get download them using iLiberty+.

most of the apps you will be installing require BSD. you can install it now with iLiberty or after using installer. And no, there will be no icon.
