How do I tell if my MPT is bogus...

So I bought a MPT cd off of ebay, now don't flame me yet. It reads 4.0 as the version on the front of the cd. I got it to play with an older 323i with US Cellular I had, but now I finally upgraded and have a RAZR2 v9m, but when i try and "live update" the MPT it says the most recent version is loaded. yet it still won't detect my V9M. I have removed MPT and the related drivers per Marks instructions.

Is there a way I can tell if the MPT cd I got was bogus. It worked fine with my 323i.

It is not bogus but V9M is a new a new phone and MPT may have not brought out an update as of yet.

You have an older version, current updated version of MPT is 4.5.6. check around in 4shred, you find a updated to 4,5.6.
