Anyone have any luck getting Jinzora or Ampache (or similar) working on iPhone?

Have you tried Tversity? This is one of the only ones that I actually got to work. Google it, it's actually pretty cool. The only downside of it, IMO, is that it can't jump from one song to the next...you have to go back to the main screen on the app to get the next song. Song quality and video quality is great though

Okay, so here's what I wound up doing...

I tried this:

and it indeed does work. There are a few limitations with the method, though. One, there is no password protection on this what-so-ever. All your tunes are out there for the world to access directly on your harddrive (stream, d/l, mod, etc...). Serious shortcoming there. Second, once you stream a song, if you want to replay it, you have to re-d/l it. Third, streaming over EDGE is slower then real time. This option is pretty much off the list b/c of these issues.

I'm working with the Ampache Team to see if we can't get streaming working directly from there. If we do, I'll let you know. (This would be the ideal option).

So for now, the work around I'm using to simply login via NcFTP and use 'get' to d/l whatever song I want from my library at home. From there, I use AVPlayer to play it.
