New Phone need advice

My Motorola KRZR should be here today (I'm on Verizon) I have looked through the site and am really confused now. I am looking fo a way to put ringtones on my new phone from music I already have. The worst part is I have no idea where to start i assume i need some type of software ,but no clue where to or what to get. Any other cool things that can be done with the phone would be great. I know this has probably been asked like a million times but please be patient with me as i learn. Up until now my old phone would just send and recieve calls.

If you can get Motorola Phone Tools and a data cable, you should have what you need, since Motorola Phone Tools contains a basic ringtone editor and should work with any non-iDEN Moto handset.

Thanks for the info can you recomned a site to get Motorola Phone Tools at?

Is there a special cable or does it use the small usb cable like a pda or digital camera?

i think you should be able to transfer full mp3 songs to the microsd with the USB cable that's received in the box, i had the krzr for a while good phone but there's one mystery i've never figured in the gsm unlocked motorola phones, right after you call voice mail you receive this strange sms with an upside down question mark, anybody got that??

EBAY is a good place to get the Mobile Phone Tools for your KRZR, most of the auctions will usually include like a data cable along with the CD, and you can get the latest version of MPT as well, that way you wont have to worry about live updating just yet and whenever a newer version comes out.. just my 2 cents, having using and still use MPT with some of my motorola phones..
