Is there an app that will let me download files from Safari on the iPhone? I can't find one in installer, but maybe I'm missing a source...

Interesting.... I installed the hack and it doesn't seem to work even a little bit. I can't download anything! No button appears like the site says...

Anyone successfully using this app?

The Safari DL tweak is for 1.1.4 only I believe. Which firmware are you using? Be sure you're trying to download files with supported extensions.

Thank for bringing this up. I had installed it already and forgot it was even on my phone. It does work - tried it and it downloaded over WiFi and stored in /var/root/Downloads.

- downloaded Flash9.exe from oldversion.com
- used finder to navigate to /var/root/Downloads and the file was, indeed, downloaded to the directory.

Now when I'm out driving around I can be downloading files. Now for a torrent client since it supports .torrent files.

This is the strangest app... It works only occasionally. Actually, for me... It seems to work only immediately after I restart the phone. If I close safari and go back to it, it no longer works.

Also, I can't figure out how to add files that should be d/led (such as .pls).

Strange.
