Hi there.

Sorry, I am having a hard time reading through all the messages in the other thread, so I just have a few questions if someone can be kind enough to respond, it would be greatly appreciated:

1) What is the difference between these two phones?
2) How stable is the unlock, and where can I get it unlocked with the most stable unlock hack, ie. what is a reputable source?
3) How is the reception?

I am in Toronto/Richmond Hill and I am on Fido (GSM).

Thanks!

1) If you want to compare the difference check this:
p905i
sh905i

2) I'm not sure about SH905i, but p905i check this for my p905i unlock page.

3) Reception should be fine as long as there's strong coverage of rogers 1900 in your area.

Do you know where I can get it for a reasonable price? I don't mind getting a used one either. Thanks.

1),2) have pretty much been answered above

3)eBay is probably the best unless you have access to Yahoo Japan. Try looking for local deals using Kijiji, Craigslist, or even Facebook. I got my p905i from Yahoo Japan for like $450, just waiting for a friend to haul it over!

Interesting. As you've prolly seen my other posts. I live in Toronto with P905i and I can get 3 bars reception maximum with the average of 2/3 bars. I haven't dropped to 1 bar yet.

yaaa. i'm right in the middle of downtown toronto too.
if i'm in a basement.. 0 bars.. out. lol.
where if i was using my 903SH .. i would still have signal.
OR any of my other phonesss. but they probably are quadband..

I'm in the Markham, Richmond Hill, and Scarborough areas daily, and I get excellent reception.

I also get excellent reception and I live in scarborough o.O
the only time I drop bars is if I go into someones basement then I end up with one bar.

ps. Shopping on Facebook? lol

I put my SX633 for sale on Facebook lol.. doesn't hurt to try, since it's free.

Posted by: MyLoveForTofu

lol I might as well try that too later XD

Well.. it's only good if you're going to pay the guy when you meet up face to face. Just remotely agreeing on a deal seems kinda sketchy to me. If I plan on doing online transaction, I'm always doing it through ebay.

BTW: I live in North York so... there's reception here. I haven't tried basement or any other places yet I'll post updates when I do.

Well, most people that see the thing would be your friends right? (on facebook) and if your making a deal with a total stranger, it would be nice to bring a few friends along lol
