Voice Memos don't sync

I can't get voice memos to sync.

Just bought a 680 and installed palm desktop. I cannot get voice memos to sync to the desktop. The conduit is setup, but the sync log says that voice sync failed.

Any help?

Is this the downloaded version of palm desktop? If so, and it's one of the newer ones, it's not gonna sync voice memos. You'll have to find the version that came with the Treo originally. If you don't have it, look here.

Thanks for the reply. No, it is the version that comes with the AT&T phones. The phone came with the original CD. I checked the palm desktop version and it shows version 4.2.

UPDATE:

Now that I have my sync log fixed (another issue), I am able to see this in the log:

Voice Memo conduit cannot synchronize with the Voice Memo database on the Handheld, because the version of the database on the Handheld or the desktop does not match that expected by the Voice Memo conduit.

Just reading over at Palm, and according to them, syncing voice memos will not work on Treo 680 or 700p(and possibly other smartphones). I don't sync that often with the desktop, but I did to see if I got the same error and I do. Never noticed it before. Anyway, they do mention that the only way to get rid of the error message is to delete the conduit files. If you want your voice memos on the computer you can still do it, though it seems to be a bit of trouble. You have to send them in email, bluetooth or use a file manager to copy the files to SD. You'll need a copy of Qualcomm Purevoice as the files are stored in QCP format. If you do use the voice recorder a lot and need that functionality, you may consider a third party app to replace the built-in voice recorder. I don't do much voice recording, but when I used my Treo 650, I actually ripped the voice recorder off my Zire72 and used it, I don't remember if it synced or not either though.
