I'm sure it's been asked dozens of times, but i'll ask again. Best current at&t camera phone? I'm leaning towards the shine, but sure enough in a month, they'll have a 3 or 5 megapixel come out. I've got the v3xx and i don't think the camera is very good. It's not bad, but i want a camera w/ the phone built in...get it? I want to use it for work, as a peace officer, some evidence doesn't require a Nikon d40,50,etc. for photos and the razr just doesn't pull it off good enough. In the store the shine took some great pictures.

I guess the sony k850 is cancelled from what i read, i assume that was a "cybershot" family phone? Anything close to that out or coming out. Don't need touchscreen, just want the best camera and of course video, music, etc. Now i'm on a budget, i'm not looking at the tilt.

well you can try craigslist and find a used sony ericsson w810i, used ones can be had cheap, I got one for 50 bucks and it does a decent job on pics

Nokia N73(you can actually get it pretty cheap to)

If you're willing to go bigger and a bit more expensive, the Tilt has a 3.0 MP and takes great pictures. Then there's the N95 as mentioned above with the the 5.0 MP, but a fairly hefty price tag.

Another vote for going without a contract and picking up either a K790a or N73. You can get either one for under $200 if you watch for them. I've seen the K790a (which is probably better suited for your needs anyway) go for $120.

Refurb from "sonystyle" is around $185.00. So, this phone will take some quality pictures? Perhaps i should say, better than my razr v3xx? Anyone have one (to comment on pic. quality)?

I checked photos tagged "k790a" in flickr and picasa, this phone really does take some good pictures. Thanks for the info guys.

Yes the K790a takes excellent pictures in almost any lighting conditions. You will definitely enjoy it. What part of Texas are you from?

So the two best camera phones are the k790a and the n73? My budget is $250.00, my insurance company is paying for my phone. My house was struck by lightning and now my razr sometimes won't power on, powers off during conversations, etc.

Any other excellent camera phones in that price range? The more megapixels, the better right? I'm actually liking the N73 more than the sony....but price!

More megapixels does NOT mean its better, no. Generally the K790 takes better pictures than the N73, and has much better battery life. Unless using S60 is important to you, i'd get the SE.
