AT&T As A CAREER?

I'm currently a store manager at a small dealer agent. I absolutely love my job. I have two college degree's that don't pertain to sales or business. I never planned on AT&T being a lifelong career for me, but lately I've been considering going back to school for business and advancing in the company. So, my question is... Is there a ladder to climb when it comes to dealer agents? Is switching to a COR store in my best interest if I plan on moving up? I'm assuming there is some sort of internal job vacancy system. I did a job search on att.com just to see the types of positions, but the openings are all entry-level. I guess what I'm really wondering is if changing my whole career path is worth it!

I think quite honestly unless you see yourself opening up your own store or chain of stores your best option at this point is to try and find a position in a COR store. Either as a store manager or even as an assistant which will allow you to at least get into the COR region. Having manager experience along with carrying two college degrees even if they aren’t in the business field will give you a serious edge on some of your competition.
And I have my self compared the job openings at the wireless.att.com website and the internal job openings and there is always a lot more options on the internal side. I will admit ATT has always been strong about promoting within, and I have noticed that even without a strong educational background as long as the expirence (within ATT) and hard work is shown and proven they are always willing to give anyone a chance.
