Screen wont wake up?

I have had this happening the last couple of weeks. I will go to turn on the iphone with the home button and the screen wont turn on. The lock button wont turn it on either. But if I plug it into the dock the screen comes back on and it will work. Has anyone had anything like this happen? Its on but will not wake up.

Sometimes I did, yeah, but trying the home or power button again worked. I've also seen it where you get it to turn on and then it turns right off.

This usually happens to me when trying to take it out of standby after receiving a call and hanging up. It's just off. Home button + power button is the only way I can get it out, but I haven't tried the dock...because I'm not near the dock when it happens.

Never happened before 1.1.4, but I also have a different variety of 3rd party apps now. When I go to bed, I get OCD and turn the screen on/off about 5 times to make sure it hasn't frozen up or completely turned off on its own accord.
