Where to get w810 firmware

Hi everyone,

I've read through hundreds of posts on dozens of forums already, and every indication is that the only way to obtain the firmware for any Sony Ericsson phone is through a service such as TopSony or some other pay service. Is there any way that I can obtain the latest firmware for my SE W810i CID49 without going through a pay service?

Apart from not having a credit card to pay for the use of a service such as TopSony, I live in good old South Africa, so my means for payment of such a service are somewhat limited.

Are there any available download locations for the W810 firmware? My phone is currently branded and network locked.

[edit] - Could a mod possibly move this to the correct forum to "Sony Ericsson Unlocking" if that is the correct forum.

[edit 2] - I've found firmware for my phone, but it is in form of the following 2 files:

FS: W810_R4EA031_FS_EUROPE_2_RED49.rar
MAIN: W810_R4EA031_MAIN_GENERIC_HN_RED49.zip

Problem: I'm in South Africa. This seems to be Hungarian. The CID is the same as my phone, so will I have any problems if I flash my phone with this firmware?

MAIN_GENERIC_HN doesn't mean it's Hungarian. HN is the code for W810, not a language code. For W380 it's LE, W910 it's SH, etc.

EUROPE_2 is French - German - Sesotho (South Africa) - Zulu - Turkish

So you are all set, except you do need a custpack, or you can use XS++ with its built-in finalization option. Without a custpack or finalization, you will get a "Configuration Error" when you switch on your phone after flashing FS.
