703SH Faulty Camera

Recently got myself a 703SH with a faulty back camera. What I've tried to fix it:

None of those fixed the camera. I'm not prepared to reflow the camera pins on the motherboard... yet! I thought it would've been like the 903SH detachable camera module, which I can simply swap over. Guess not!

Any ideas? Or is this a permament hardware damage?

This is what it looks like:

motherboard damage? what does the camera do when loaded?

I know on my 903sh I've swapped the module with another 903sh and I still cant get into the video cam mode on it, I wonder if I need to reflash

Hmm that's similar to the screen I got in an old camera phone that I ended up taking apart. What I did was take it apart again, and checked the connections. voila!

The problem is the camera module is actually soldered onto the motherboard. And from visual inspection, there seems to be nothing wrong with it. Maybe I should resolder it...

Opened it up again and gave it a few tap. That seem to have fixed it for now anyway...

LOL nice.. Let's hope it stays that way now.
