Ok, sorry to be such a newbie to this, but I am just trying to get things set up for me.

Currenlty I went with Versamail to obtain my work email. This is done without going into our exchange server. Our current server is unable to preform this fucntion, and is do to be replaced some time this summer. So for now I use the webmail function to access my personal and business email.

My question is, is there a setting that I am missing that I can check, that would push my business email to my phone. Or is there something else I am missing.

Mind you, I am not tech savy, and had to have help just setting up what I have so far.

Sro129 I believe Versamail use Microsoft Direct Push Technology. Which Treo do you have and do you have an exchange server setup at work? It is not very clear from your message

We have an exchange server, but it is old, and my IT people tell me that it will not work properly with the current server. IT showed me how I can get my email using webmail.company.org. This works, but I can not figure out how to push the mail to the phone so I do not have to ask for it everytime.

I did download Wireless Sync last night, and will try playing around with it.

My question was, is there a way using Versamail to push the email to my phone? I was just not sure if there was a setting I have not found.

sro, im using my aol mail on my phone (through versa). Last i talked with a palm tech about having another mail server psuhe to my phone, they said it alll depended on the server. So imo (i know this post doesnt help too much), and from what palm told me, your IT people did tell you what is correct. Do you know if they are going to update thier current servers? ialso just imed a friend about his an he said his school mail server wont work either. Ill try and get more info.

I guess the first question I would ask is have you installed the Versamail update with Exchange Activesync from Palm? It's available here if not. This is required for an exchange server to push your mail to you in the first place. Make sure you're running the latest firmware before installing the Versmail update. The newest version is "Treo700p_-1.10-VZW" exactly as typed get it here if needed.

I just updated to the 1.10 on the firmware, and all went well. Could not say that for my first 700p, had to have long conversation with palm to get it working again. This time I did the SD card method of update, and WOW it worked first time and fast. I do have the lates versamail, however according to our IT people I can not sync yet because our server is way outdated, and is ready to be replaced.

I did download wireless sync, and it seems to push my email to me intermitantly (sp). I just used our webmail.(companyname).org, and then my username, and password. I read on wireless sync that using the pop method you do not have to have your computer on to get your mail pushed to you, so I have been running some tests at work today. I get email, and I am able to reply using wireless sync. It just does not push it to me all the time or at least in a timely fashion.

I would like to thank everyone for trying to help, but I am not sure what else to do at this point other than wait patiently for the new server.

OK while I was typing this I just received an email that was sent to me almost 10 minutes ago. The other issue I have is that the alarm goes of once, and thats it. I have attempted to find some other setting to get more notification but can not find any. I also have LED Butler, and I could not find anything for that either.

I use Attention Grabber for this.....and it's freeware.

I think I have fixed everything. I even found the button I needed to check in LED Butler, and now I get nagged when I get an email.
