Sturdy simple phone for parents?

I am switching from T-mobile to ATT soon (on a family plan with my wife and me). My parents need to port, too, so we can talk without using minutes, I need to figure out what phone(s) to get them.

What is a very sturdy (my father works outside and is muddy all the time) and simple phone that is offered on att. It's not getting immersed in water or anything but I just want something that he will be able to use without issue. He has big hands, too.

I am going with a moto z9 for myself, and a sony 580 for my wife, I think. Dunno about my mom, anything will work for her. They both have normal hearing (no hearing aids).

I've had my parents try a few different phones, and they ended up with Razr V3xx. Great reception and big letters on display. I don't know how durable it will be for your dad but so far ours have survived a few drops.

The go phone selection leans toward simple, and you don't get socked into a stinking contract if you buy one. In the current offering, Nokia 6030 comes to mind as a good solid phone. You did ask for simple, no?

Your folks may not be there, but the N6010 did not catch the fancy of my mother as she came from a 5165 or something. I got her a 6340i (yes, used of course) and she is quite happy with it. On T-mobile.

I'm also looking for a phone for my dad. I'm a verizon person so I don't know much about AT&T phones. The qualities described in this post seems to be what I'm looking for also though. Also, however he needs a phone with a loud ringer as he works in a loud environment and will never hear it otherwise.

I also recommend the Nokia 6030, it is a stellar phone. Although i hate to recommend wasting a 2yr contract subsidy discount on one as they can be had for cheap elsewhere.

the SE Z750 fits the bill. Basic, 3G, big buttoms, big display. its on ad today as a BOGO. come in 3 colors, so they still be unique
