having problems with my at&t htc tilt tytnll

i bought at&t htc tytnll from the us and i'm using it on FIDO(a canadian wireless carrier).
since then i've been having problems with my internet(gprs) setup and i couldn't send and receive mms. i took it to FIDO technicians, i was told that the phones GDFS is locked to at&t so they couldn't resolve the problems for me.
i dont have any idea of what that means, i will be glad if anyone could help me out on that.

It sounds like you have bought a Tilt that is locked to the At&t network. The phone needs to be unlocked before you can use it on a different mobile provider. This LINK maybe of help to you, check it out, but make sure you follow all the instructions to the "T".

Is the phone portion working? If so, it's not a lock issue. If not, refer to the post above, as your phone is still SIM locked to AT&T. If the phone is working on Fido's network using your Fido SIM, you will just need to enter the proper MMS and GPRS settings in their correct places for FIDO which can be found HERE.

This seems to be waaaay more correct then my post. I think I jumped the gun a little bit. Sorry about that.

thanks all for your replies.....my phone was unlocked and i'm currently using it on fido network.
i had tried all the mms and gprs settings u sent and still not working but i was told when i took to fido that the phone's GDFS is locked to at&t, that i have to unlock the GDFS before my phone could work with fido's mms and gprs.
i dont know what GDFS means?

Global Distributed File System- the files on your phone, basically. Look into debranding/unbranding/flashing the handset. Certainly someone over at XDA can answer that one for you. You can use the same link posted above to get back into those forums...
