Is there a upcoming successor to the tilt?

I've narrowed my choices to the tilt and the vu, but after the recent news of the vu's price I've decided on the tilt(unless proven otherwise). But i was wondering, since the tilt is almost a year old is there a new successor to it coming soon? ANY information is greatly appreciated.

HTC is not supposed to be releasing any successors to the Tilt anytime soon. They are focusing more on the Touch.

So i wont have to worry about the HTC Cruise or something coming. Should i wait until after this HTC event in the beginning of May to get it?

There will be testing threads for months before any new HTC device is released with AT&T branding. If you like the Tilt, get it. Will there be something "better" in the future? Of course. Then again, there always is.

Yeah, you're never going to be happy with a phone if you're always waiting for the next thing. Technology constantly changes. Just go pick a phone that does what you want it to. If no phone like that exists, then wait until one does or settle for what comes closest. I'm a big Microsoft hater, but I think the Tilt is really one of the best phones out there. Yeah, it's heavy and bulky, but that's what you get with a phone packed full of feature like the Tilt is.

I have no doubt in my mind that they are working on a TyTN III as we speak...hopefully by the time it comes out it'll have the option of WM6.1/7(?) or Android.

yes, it is called the rapheal or the touch pro.

The only downside about the TyTN III/Rapheal/Touch Pro is that as of know, it is going to the Sprint Network, which is CDMA

so who said that there will be no gsm version!

I think those internal documents from Sprint only show that they want in on serious HTC action. We the GSm users will be getting our action of the successor units.

also, i think we will see the gsm versions first and the cdma versions will be out some five to six months later.

The Raphael will most likelly be the successor to the Tilt. Just wait for the announcements this week. Touch Diamond looks promising. The spec sheet does have GSM triband with 850. There will be GSM versions of these new HTC touch phones along with CDMA. No worries...

get the damn phone from amazon, 250 after rebate at the moment, granted I got it for free a few weeks ago from amazon after rebates.

as it has been said, if you are always waiting for the next new one, you will never get one at all!!

That seems crazy...did you have to buy service through amazon or were you just able to buy the phone?
