Change SID on Centro Sprint to Verizon

I was recently with Alltel and switched to Sprint. At my home, I was able to switch SID on my HTC from alltels SID to Verizon and then switch phone to home only and not use prl. This allowed me to stay on verizon at my home and have excellent talk quality. How can I do this with the Centro. I want to change SID on Centro from Sprint to Verizon. Than I need to make sure phone does not run PRL and stays on home network. Thanks in advance.

If your talking about having multiple sids for the same number, I don't think your gonna be able to do that. As far as I know, all Treos can only use one sid period. Yeah, you can manually change the sid, but there is probably only one slot for a sid. So you would have to go into the programming menu and change it every time.

no, I only want to be able to change my current sid to a verizon sid only when I'm home. The sprint tower is too weak by my home and very poor service, but strong verizon tower and would allow much better service. After I change sid to a verizon, I also have to make sure my phone does not run through the PRL and stays on home only. This would lock in Verizon tower while at home. I know I will have to change when not at home

Go to Phone Preferences->Roaming. Choose roaming only. When want to go back to Sprint, Phone Preferences->Home System or Phone Preferences->Automatic

I've never used a Centro being with Alltel, but it's my understanding that there's not a roaming preference option in the phone menu. Have you checked to see? Under dialer > menu > options > roaming preferences? The 700p has this option, but if I recall from a conversation with another Centro user this option is not in the Centro menus. To change sid you should be able to ##000000 to get to the programming menu.

I do not have access to roaming preferences in the preference options of MY phone (centro). also ##000000 also does not get into the programming of the phone on My Centro. I was able to do this very easily with my old phone (HTC) on alltels network, but am not able to switch the sid on sprints network with new Phone Centro with either of these options.
