I accidentally killed my 5300...

I have a Nokia 5300 XpressMusic which I (stupidly) screwed up the subsidy unlock code for... and now the phone is "permanently locked". Is there any way to, I don't know, reformat the phone so that I'll be able to unlock it? Unfortunately, there aren't any wireless shops around here that would be able to do it, and I'm a bit leery about sending it off to a company I've never heard of... Is there anything I can do on my own to either unlock it outright or at least give myself a couple more chances to unlock?

i think you can call tmobile and see if they can help you over the phone.
