6275i Problems => Is it Diego?

Has anyone confirmed that this problem is a direct result of using Diego? There were some theories that Diego was the culprit.
I sent my 6275i back to Nokia and they got it working again. I had the same problem as many others where the phone would turn on, then turn off seconds later.
They said that it was a software glitch and it needed an update. Since I bought the phone in June 2007 and the "new" software they put in is dated 21-09-06, it would seem that this may not be the case (unless my phone software was really outdated).
It is working fine now, but i would really like to use custom MP3 tones again.
Thanks!

Well, I modded my 6275i about a month ago, and I haven't noticed anything yet... I hadn't heard about this and now I'm kinda worried something will happen soon, though... :S
Couldn't they tell that you had modded it though? I figured onced I modded it I was on my own, unless I wanted to go back and erase all the files and reset all the settings etc.

Hi Nodiesop, can you tell me what fields you changed using Diego? Or did you do a complete firmware reflash on the phone?

I basically changed just the setting to make mp3 ringtones.
I noticed that some people are commenting that it seems that a lot of people who used Diego are having this problem. However, everyone may be having this problem and it just so happens that the only people posting here are those that are modding their phones
When I sent it back, they didn't comment on the Diego mod. The phone would only turn on for 5 seconds and then turn off. The Bell rep said that he had some phones come in for this same problem (did Diego cause it, I don't know) and he just sent them off.
My recommendation is that if you notice your phone shutting off on it's own, try and correct the problem right away. Mine was shutting off periodically. And after a while, it would only turn on if I mashed the keypad. At the end, it wouldn't turn on at all. If I would have reloaded the pri using Diego, I may have been able to reset the phone without sending it back.
