Now that they have released the language files for R2A, they released a new firmware. I have just installed R2B on my phone:

The firmware packages upgrades:
Phone: R2D
Bluetooth: R5A
CDA: R4A02
Organizer: R2B03

Remember that it is not necessary to get every upgrade that comes out. Firmware updates are frequent. Find out if the new firmware will benefit you before upgrading.

Still no calendar bug fix for the US firmware.

So,,,,,,,,,Rick....what are the improvements? Other than the lack of an obvious "calander bug" improvement........

I have not noticed any changes as of yet.

Thanks for the update Rick!!

Interestingly:

R2B for the US upgrades the phone to R2D
R2B for most of Europe upgrades the phone to R2F

Perhaps the differences are provider settings.

doubtful.

Usually, provider settings are phone app related, not organizer. Such a minor letter change indicates bug fixes.

True,
I wonder why the US version is R2D while the Euro version is R2F. Both firmwares were released the same day under R2B.

hey Rick...is it possible to do the euro upgrade in the US, would you know of anyone being able to do it?
I'm still int he Uk but leaving in about 2 weeks and running short in time that i can do the upgrade. So i might have to do it int he US over the summer.
I really want to have the new camera settings and extra features.

Yes,
We can install the European firmware upgrades on the P800 as well. There is one service point on the east coast (Pittsburgh), and one on the west coast (Southern California) that you may bring your phone into. Otherwise, you will need to send your phone by mail.

ok guess mailing it to pittsburgh won't be too bad...I'll be in the DC metro area during the summer.

Ah, young Rick, if you'd just call the SE Call Center they should be able to give you a number of options for walk-in help.
I know you two must be SE's favorites but there seem to be others to choose from.
