What is the advantage of WM 6.1 over 6.0? Does it resolve any of the lock-up issues?

It's an extremely minimal upgrade -- check a wiki on it. And no, the OS alone is unlikley to eliminate your "lock-ups" but the flashing to an updated ROM with updated drivers and without your possible current troublesome apps will likely help.

As said, Xda-Developerss is where you want to go to find out pre-built ROM/ or Kitchen options that are suitable for your carrier.

Can someone point me in the direction of the latest (And stable) ROM? I'm not to familiar with this process, and need something that is fully functional.

I tried here:

But this seriously confused me... Any help?

I am running a Sprint HTC Touch (I think the info listed below on the HTC Splash Screen is the ROM / Bois revision numbers). Can any one verify?

There are specific upgrading forums for specific handsets. This is particularly because ROMs written for one will not function for another.... Different hardware variations, GSM or CDMA, etc.....The XDA Wiki's are also separated per device and tend to be compiled and written by those members who are active with a particular handset.

Yes, you got yourself to the Kaiser/TyTn II forum but you have a Vogue/Touch.

You want to go here:

or to PPCGeeks:

Read the existing threads concerning a ROM or Kitchen and then decide what is the best route for you.

The basic idea in flash new ROMS to your devices is actually the same in all devices (or most of the devices)

The so-called "brief" tutorials for flashing a new ROM in Pocket PCs actually confused me to hell.

The main idea is that you've got to have the right kind of IPL/SPL before flashing a ROM onto your system and everything will be fine. If you don't know which is the "RIGHT" kind of IPL/SPL for you, search XDA-Developers for 3.08 and you'll find one which supports all operating systems (windows mobile 6.1 etc)

Then search for TNT Series, I Flashed it only once and loved it. I haven't reflashed my phone since then. Search for it, download it, it will have an exe file which will install the windows to your pocket pc automatically..

Things are easy, they just need to be very concious.. that's why they have elongated them.
