VX9900 EnV Picture messages

Now I've had the enV for almost a year now and used bitpim to backup pictures and contacts etc... I'm wondering if there is a way to backup/extract picture/video messages without saving them first to the my pictures/videos portion of the phone. I've hex edited the files and they seem like Quicktime should be able to handle them but I can't even get bitpim to save them to my PC. Is there something I'm missing here. TIA for any info
