If I changed my Razr2, can I change it back?

I've been reading and getting more interested in putting on the original Motorola software/firmware/whatever on my Razr2 to get the front screen functions working again and to see if there truly is much of a difference between it and the Rogers firmware. (because honestly, going by what I read on these boards, the Rogers software seems to be pretty close to what Motorola offers, just with a few differences, the main one being the outer screen functions like text reading not working, and not being able to use your own .mp3 files for ringtones) Everything else that people are on these boards trying to get seems to be in the Rogers version naturally (Push to call forward, assigning shortcut keys, including both right and left softkeys to whatever you want, including camera, even though the right spine button is already camera, using the moto music player instead of the Rogers player and so on) but I am nervous about doing anything to my phone that I cannot undo.

If I simply installed the stock motorola V9 firmware onto the phone, would that put FULL functionailty back on my phone, or did the stock motorola firmware simply not have the outer screen functionality either?

Where's a REPUTABLE site to get the most up to date Motorola branded firmware for the V9?

What EXACTLY would I be gaining by putting on the Moto firmware instead of just leaving my Rogers firmware on? (besides the outer screen functionailty and gaining the ability to use .mp3 as ringotnes) and what would I be losing?

Can I still use Video Calling on the Rogers network? (This is VERY important! If I lose the ability to Video call, I just won't do any firmware stuff)

I am not too concerned about losing the mobiTV program, Rogers Music store, Radio/Video on demand or anything else that Rogers put on the phone because I can simply redownload them so that's not an issue. Will I FINALLY also be able to delete the java game demos I download from the Rogers site?

If I screw something up, or simply don't like how the phone acts, or doesnt' really act that much different than before, am I able to go back on the Motorola.ca website and redownload the software update they offer to put my phone back to Rogers standard, or am I hooped and if I don't like the Moto stock firmware, am I stuck with that firmware unless I get a new phone?

I have looked and looked and asked, but no one seems to have found a way to fix the outer screen text message reading function on a North American V9 (and honestly, I am perfectly happy with the stock Rogers programming. All I really want extra is the ability to read my text messages on the outside screen and maybe be able to see myself on the closed outer flip screen when I am taking a video so I can see what I am recording, just like when I am taking a self picture, even if the only button I can use is the smart key and the touch screen buttons don't appear) even through a VERY simple to follow seem edit. As I said, I am perfectly happy with the Rogers firmware on it, I just want those two functions to work, and if that could happen (either by installing the stock Moto firmware or by a seem edit) then this would truly be the perfect phone for me in every way.

Can anyone help? Tell me the info I am asking for, tell me how to do what I am trying to do, or at the very least what to expect if I did try to install the stock Moto firmware on my phone to see if it's even worth the trouble and potential risk to my phone? Thanks very VERY much for your time!

Did you flash your V9 with Motorola image? I am interested to do this too.
