RAZR2 dial up internet problem

I just bought a RAZR2, micro-usb cord, and already had MPT. When I connect the phone to the computer (using Vista 32 bit), the phone was automatically installed. I was able to dial up and connect from both MPT and Windows network/dial up connection. After about 5 to 6 minutes, the internet connection stops and the network connection on the task bar shows a "local" connection only. When I connect my wife's RAZR V3m, it stays connected to the internet without a problem.

I'm pretty sure that I have determined this problem is isolated at the handset, anyone have any similar experience or solutions. It almost seems like there is a cap or limit on data time or volume in the phone.
