I am completely new to PDA's so I am wondering if some one can help me out with the basic's. I Googled rom's and I found out it mean's read-only memory but what are the "ROMS" every one is asking about? I would love to learn how to work with my S621 Dash (WM6) so that I can tweak stuff in it but I am pretty nervouse about messing around with it with out the proper knowledge.

Thank's in advance.

i second that, they are the baddest of the bad asses when it comes to HTC devices, ive used over 30 of their roms on all diffrent machines and they all kick ***.

if your new though, take about 1-2 hours to read through (yes its a pain) but you need to understand how the device works and how it boots up before you start reflashing.

I went to XDA and I just can't find one that explain's the ROM thing to me, I think I know what it is isn't a ROM like the PDA's operating system? Also I am wonderring if by chance when I upgraded from WM5 to 6 if I could have possibly left WM5 on there because my phone seem's to be running very slow? Also I got Opera browser and is there any way to get it on the recently ussed list instead of alway's have to go into Java?

Thank you very much

Soooooooooooo ..................... after reading a couple of these threads on xda developers, it appears to me that this flashing of ROM's thing is quite common....

I have a Tytn II .... so how many of you are not actually using the original ROM and what are some of the benefits you're enjoying as a result of your changed ROM?

Mexy.
