ActiveSync and Blackjack II calender syncing issue

I tried for the first time to sync just my
Calender events (form my BJII) to my
Outlook 2003 (on my PC with XP).
Here is what I did:

1. Initially there was nothing in my PC/Outlook and all the calender entries were
on my BJII.
2. I dowloaded and installed ActiveSync 4.5 from MSFT website
3. I connected the phone to my PC and went throught the setup wizard, etc.
4. I chose to sync only the Calender under Options>Tools
5. The synchronization appeared to work successfully but when I opened up my Outlook 2003
on my PC I only saw date entries for events that were recurring on my phone calender.
For example, I have a meeting every Tues and Wed. at 10am, and it is set as a recurring event on my phone.
These were the only events that synced, nothing else.

Any ideas why all other non-recurring events did not sync to my PC/Outlook calender.
