iPhone 8gb - all stock - problems with iPod?

I have 4 different playlists loaded on my iPhone. All of the songs from playlist A will show in landscape mode. If I switch to playlist D, only the song that I am currently listening to will show, along with all of the songs from playlist A in landscape mode. How do I get only the songs from the playlist that I am currently in to show in landscape mode?
Even if I exit out of iPod, then go back in, and start with playlist D, all of playlist A shows up, and only the song from playlist D will be there.
Is that confusing?

I think that I figured it out. None of the songs in playlist D have album names. I am going to try to fix that, and try it again.
