Some multimedia questions for my w580i

i have a urban gray version of the w580 that was bought overseas (so i guess thats debraded? i dont really know the tech term for that). ive been looking at some of the threads in which the 8gb sandisk m2 card will work for some and not work for most. so to be on the safe side and disappointment, i was thinking about buying a 4gb sandisk m2 card but i dont know if it will work or not since the SE site says its compatible only up to 2gb so it would really help for some input of some owners. also, which program do any of you guys use to put videos in there and is there a program to use to sync up to the computer so i can type up my address book without using outlook since i dont use outlook at all? thanks!
