yeah it's been speculated for a while... it'll be nice cause this phone actually supports mp3 unlike most docomo phones.

it's already released in Taiwan, but i think it's called Sharp WX-T92 in TW. Though it's again exclusive to one carrier in TW.

...now i'm mad at myself for buying SO905i so soon after getting P905i, i should have waited for this one to come out (the internet function will probably work on this one too).

PS I just found out that the TW version use plastic on the phone instead of the metal material on 920SH.

Yeah plastic would kinda suck on a cool phone like this, but its better then not coming out at all~~ and hopefully mp3 works for ringtones, since other sharp phones you can only listen to mp3's that you upload but ringtones are a whole different thing.

That says that the release date is May 7th.

...but plastic? I hope someone can do a cross-flash or housing swap.

Isn't the only metal part on the 920sh the hinge? The actual screen and back feels pretty plasticy to me.

nah, i think the hosuing on the 920SH is metal too, or people on the forum where i found these info wouldn't be complainting that much about it.

Depending on the colour scheme you picked with the 920SH, you'd get a plastic or metal housing. I can't remember which ones got which though.

But if any of you had seen the FCC's and other spy photos posted on the net you would've already known the WX-T92 was coming in a plastic housing. It's hardly surprising, I'm sure they're trying to nail the cost of the thing down as much as possible.

As for a housing swap... I'm sure someone will attempt it, but considering the designs of the 920SH and SX862/WX-T92 are slightly different (refer to the FCC photos) it probably won't be an easy task to pull off.
