Moving from a WM5 device to Blackberry - and so far am very happy!

I am a bit confused on a few things however and would love some feedback:

a) The magnet/holster thing is the coolest thing since sliced bread. However, is the little condom-holster and the belt-holster from RIM the only two cases with the magnet? Any other clever ideas for keeping the item in your pants/coat pocket and having the magnet engage?

b) I have my gmail account hooked up and it works like a dream - except when I send a message via gmail on my PC, the sent message pops up as a new, unread message in my Messages on the device. This is pretty annoying as I send boatloads of emails per day and the thing is buzzing off the hook. I went into the General Options and changed Hide Sent Messages to "Yes", yet they still appear. Any insight as to how you turn this off?

Thanks in advance!

1)there are plenty of after market cases/holsters/clips that have a built in magnet.

2)go to your email setup page (att.blackberry.com or from your device) and under your gmail address select "filters". set up a filter name it watever you want

apply filter when: :"from" field
conatins: "xxxxx@gmail.com"

where the x's obviously are your email addy. thats the only workaround

good luck

Wow! Even though I believe you, that is hard to believe! You would think that this would be a bit more streamlined. Oh well. Thanks for the info!

Ok more questions ........

I have multiple email accounts including my corporate account (Enterprise) and my GMail account. Is it possible to only have Enterprise show up in Messages and GMail show up in the gmail folder? Aka I don't want GMail to show in Messages.

its all or nothing. you can have separate icons for each email address as i do, or you can have one folder for all messages (PIN,SMS,MMS,ALL Email)

by default your "messages icon handles all messages, if you go into the messages folder you can hit menu then go to options then general options and at the very bottom be given the choice to separate or combine your messages.

if you choose to separate you will find a new icon in your Applications folder labeled "MMS and SMS" and then your individual email icons
