re-booting SE Z750a

Have a problem with my new z750a.
Every one in a while when I'm on MediaNet the screen turns off and you can hear the phone vibrate once.
If I wait a second the phone re-boots itself.
Is the a problem with MediaNet/at&t or my phone? Should I post this in the phone section instead of here?

It doesn't do it every time.
I'm either checking my mail or just browsing in MediaNet.

Had the phone for a few days, haven't installed anything on it.

I think you probably should have posted it in the phone section as more ppl are likely to see it. But I digress...I've had the phone a bit longer than you and have experienced this problem once or twice so far as well. I'm not a 100% sure whether it's the phone or at&t, but I've experienced this problem with other phones as well, so it might be a little bit of both. Sorry can't give a more concrete answer, maybe someone else knows more.

thanks for the reply altNz.
It's a real nice phone and I'm happy with it so far. I called the at&t store where I bought the phone. The sales rep said he was going to call his tech department to see if there was a issue or problem with this phone, but to bring the phone back anyway and he will exchange it.
I'm just hoping it's not a bug in all the z750a's. So I'll bring it back tomorrow and see what happens.

It shouldn't be a universal bug, I don't think. I haven't run into that problem on MEdia NET -- before nor after I debranded, I have had that happen on weird failed java installs or funky utilities I downloaded so I'll just avoid those. -__-

It might be just me as I've been one of those people with constant problems ever since Cingular became at&t. I was one of those people who kept getting dropped calls for several months, ended up going through a new SIM card every few months.

Well, I brought the phone back to the at&t store and a sales rep played with it for a few minutes and he noticed that the screen had a slight flicker (i just that that was normal). He said no and got me a new phone.
It is working fine now.

What is debranded?

debranded = not at&t/carrier branded, so the f/w (OS) is the generic SE one that is commonly found with unlocked phones.
