............if you're just looking for a phone for everyday regular cellular use?

e.g mp3 player, texting, phone calls, video recording and camera use.

I don't plan to use any of the data/techy stuff such as e-mail and gps.

I would say that it is not worth it. I feel as though the SE phones are more suited towards the stuff that you want, like music, video, camera, etc. Nokia and some Motorolas also will do what you want.

I would avoid the BB unless you have to.

I once only use PCS phones till I got my blackberry and is absolutely hooked as I have unlimited data on telus network. I couldn't tell you how much I love it now. The texting on a blackberry is absolutely amazing with msn, blackberry messenger and images so crisp on the phone. The data usuage is great, with compressed data; I surf like crazy and it seems like I only use 2mbs per day. For multimedia wise, its not the greatest, but the hand guesture of a full qwerty keyboard for texting and instant emails is something I will miss if I intend to leave it.
