I'd like to know what phones people would recommend from verizon or at&t for someone that is going to call, text and use AIM alot. Any suggestions are helpful.

something with qwerty. if you like branded crippled phones, verizon, if you like freedom and/or SIM cards AT&T. if you want to surf the internet, AT&T. IF you want to be able to bluetooth pics, mp3s, files etc., AT&T......etc

Or look at sprint SERO, if you can find a phone you like of theirs. Sprint phones are less crippled IME.

Sprint is less crippled, barely. They also block OBEX for file transfers. Sprint as of now, will only allow their branded phones onto their network, although I have heard that they will be "opening" up their network to accept other CDMA phones.

I had sprint, i never get any service where i live. There customer service also pissed me off. They screwed up my sero plan and refused to change it.

well less crippled as in at least u could run java apps like opera mini, gmail, google maps etc
