Help w/V3M - Verizon

My friend just bought a v3m from verizon and it has the 1.19.07 software on it. he decided to do some seem edits to the phone (seem 2427 only) but i think he used the seems that worked with the older software versions. his problem is that his outside lcd (when closed) does not show an image, it is just white with the verizon banner. he used to have the option in the menus to change the outside and inside wallpaper but now he does not have the menu to change the outside wallpaper. does anyone know what seem i need to change so that he can have that option for the outside wallpaper? unfortunately he did not make a backup of his original.

Me too. I just went back to the original seem and it came back. I don't know why one would seem the v1.19.07 because it already comes with bit 0 on (allow file transfer via BT & USB) but it does NOT work with MPT. I tried the seem edit, got the same problem with the external LCD, hooked up to latest & greatest MPT, selected the V3mm (and V3cm), and was able to transfer pix but not mp3s. When you try to do pix, it will give you an error message "Request denied by phone (Unsupported media type (0x4F))". Anyone's got any ideas about this?

my friend loaded a seem to the phone and he now does not have the menu to change the wallpaper on the outer display (it is white). you said you had the same problem with the outer display, did you figure out which seem edit caused it?

if you do not know which seem it was ,can you please make a copy of your seems (2742) and post the file?

Just load the backup seem...you did make a backup didn't you?

it was not me, it was my friend and unfortunately he did not make a backup. that is why i do not know which seem to undo??

save your seem 2742 using p2k and them submit a reply to this post and scroll down to manage attachments. you might have to rename the seem file to a .txt file.

Uhm.... I got a Verizon V3M last week. Looks like the SEEM edit is quite different from the older V3C versions.

My SW version reads: 24.1_01.19.07
Any idea about what it is?

Also, when I tried to edit 2742/Byte 0000/ Offset 6A, the bite 0 and bit 1 have been checked at the time I read from my phone. Since I am still waiting for MPT, I have no idea if the USB transfer works. Will report after I receive the MPT.

Also, when my V3M is closed, the large button at left side (with a small square at middle) has no function. Thus, I can not know if "vibe then ring" works.
