Hi I got a palmOne LifeDrive PDA, can anyone teach me how to install and remove programs to & from this device? I download palmOne Quick install, I'm not sure how it works. Can I direct install programs to LifeDrive if I had programs save on PDA's harddrive?

Thanks a lot!!!

You can use the Quick Install or Palm Desktop software to install programs onto the device. Either way you still need to Sync it for both to install the programs to the LifeDrive.

In either programs, you use the Install Applications button and direct it to where/which file(s) you are installing. Then all you do is Sync it and the programs are installed.

I have a Palm TX and previously used a Palm Zire 72 and PalmOne Tungsten E2 and Tungsten T3. That's how I remember installing programs. The other way was beaming them from one device to the other via infrared.

Or you could just copy the prc and/or pdb to the /palm/launcher folder of the sd card and insert the card to copy.

Thanks guys, I was trying to install Adobe Reader, the setup file is windows .exe file. So should I connect the PDA to my computer and set it as mass storage like an external hard drive of my computer, and install .exe from Windows but install to my PDA's hard drive??

As I already messed up, how am I gonna delete the program I just installed? How do I delete the icon on PDA's desktop?

For Quick Install, where does it Sync the files to PDA?

Thanks a lot!!!

Do a hard reset on the palm.
Install the Palm Desktop - This will give you sync access to the Calendar and other PIM functions. Also, the Hotsync Manager will be installed. Conduits are installed there and are responsible for communication with the palm and the outside world.

Run the Adobe setup for Windows, follow all instructions. When completed, you will be prompted to hotsync.
Do So...
When completed you should see the acrobat reader on the Palm, if view is set to "All".
