Posted by: celluser7

My Tilt claims 32gb..... read the specs on ur Touch

Posted by: cokeman73

Touch can use any microSDHC card up to 32gb.

Wow, thats great to know. I was wondering about that myself. Now I just need the money to buy those higher Gig micro SDs. I'm only sporting just a 512mb card right now.

sandisk cards are the slowest cards on earth i sware, they are also more expensive.

dont even bother with sandisk.

the patriot 4GB SDHC has a class 6 rating but can transfer at 18MB/s

most sandisk ones only have a class4 and are rediculously slow for how much they cost.

Show me how they are more expensive?

The difference between a class 4 and a class 6 is minimal and truly depends on how and under what circumstances they are tested.

And even so Sandisk , to me, has the better reputation as being more compatable and stable of the two brands.

Wirelessly posted (PPC; 240x320; HTC_P3450/1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.6))

the kingston 4gb are $22 surely you can afford that

Does this work on the p4000? the microsdhc

I dont see any point in wasting money on an 8gb micro sd when u should just wait until a 32g comes out. One card, less money wasted.

when the 32 gb r coming out and what is the expected price difference with the 8 gb??

but the problem that keeps on crippling us is the 256/128 MB internal memory.

they should increase it like the new O2 (1MB).

I don't think it is a waste of money for an 8 gig now.It will be a while before we see the first of the 32 gig cards. So I say 8 now.. then upgrade to 32 later

I've used a patriot, sandisk and kingston cards. Patriot cards are faster in my phone I noticed, but having some trouble reading it after using it 3 months. Sandisk are good, but in my prefernce kingston are better and cheaper.

This is why cell phones shouldn't have dedicated memory (iPhone, N95 8GB, etc...) they remove the card slot & then if you need more space you just have to buy a new phone. So I'll agree with you. 32gb would be great, but 8gb will work for now.

4GB Cards
8GB Cards

I'm using the 8gig sandisk and it's great. I read that the phone is only capable of reading at class 2 speed anyways.

Man, what are you guys putting on these cards that you need them so big? I think if I get an 8GB I'll never fill it...

Anyway, so I'm not familiar with these cards, I have the HTC Touch.

I heard there is a 4, 6, and 8 speed. What does that mean? What's the cost difference? Does the Touch work with all of them? Thanks!

Here is how full my 8 gig card is now...

Mostly filled with music and pics I've taken.

I'm using a 4gb microSDHC card, and it works great.

well we ALL see things differently... Im not gonna spend money on 2 or 3 different cards while waiting for the 32g to come out.
Ill wait, then buy the 32g and call it a day....

What the heck to you do with 8gbs? To me it seems that once the storage card is larger, the device seems to locate files a lot slower. I maybe wrong though

ah idiot question requires idiot answer... U store stuff on it. There are people out there that do listen to music and songs DO add up after a while.

Posted by: tiltlover

another answer for, "why so much memory?" is that a GPS program for my Tilt uses 11/2 GB. Pictures, music, and videos can use a lot more.
