My personal w580i side light problem "FIX"

Ok so the problem with R8 firmware is the side lights reverting to the nasty yellow/green colour, I don't remember R6 firmware having this problem.

So anyways the side lighting/illumination does not stay to the colours you designate in the settings menu. Possibly only your incoming calls will display the colours you want.

So far from what I have read there are 3 ways to get around this.

1. Downgrade firmware
2. Fiddle with .ble lighting files.
3. Flash themes with desirable illumination

and finally my way

4. This is possibly the simplest way to get rid of the annoying light FOR THE MOST PART.

Download the SE themes creator, make your own theme, or 'Open'/load your current regular theme and go to the ILLUMINATION tab far right, and choose your colour from there, if you dont know the colour codes just click the white box next to it to manually adjust colour.

Save the theme, load it onto your phone and set it.

OK this is not a real fix, if you go into WALKMAN and come out, most likely it will go back to its ugly original colour, so that means you have to set the theme again.

However the phone will stay the colour you picked if you dont go use the walkman, and your incoming calls lighting should be fine

If anyone has detailed ways to permaneantly fix this problem PLEASE POST or PM me

The only way I avoided the changing color was to either never go into walkman, or set one of the original 2 or 3 themes (spinnin', splat, strobe) - I think that because spinnin' and splat's sidelight's constantly change color, it doesn't affect those 2 themes.

Definitely modifying the lighteffects file. I've been looking into it and I'm sure you can, but you have to get deep.

That only works if you are using a debranded phone. Those are not stock AT&T themes unfortunately.
