I'm thinking of getting an s500i soon and am wondering what people think of it. I know the early ones had keypad issues, but I want the purple version that came out later. I hear it has good volume, but haven't heard much about reception, so if anyone has any opinion, that would help.

Also, I'm thinking of buying from timtechs... any feedback on them?

btw, I chose this model for A2DP, M2, and the colour and style - other recommendations are welcome ^_^

It is a great phone, great reception, great battery life, easy to use, all around a great phone. I never had the keypad cracking issue, and I was texting a lot, so it may be fixed.

No feedback on that buyer, sorry.

I had S500i, and liked it
the earpiece is pretty loud, so is the speaker
the keys are easy to press, and don't have cracking problem
but it has another problem, it gets hot after continuous usage (like after 10 mins)
I finally go back to K790a because of the cam

I never had the overheating problem, but I have heard of others that have.

a good friend of mine has this phone. he loves it, says it works great. the speaker is pretty loud too

only thing is the music player sucks...so i flashed it to a w580...other than that its nice and mine dont have cracked keys either and i had it for about 6 months
