i need a new cell and im stuck between the LG Shine or the LG Venus im with telus, which phone is a better phone overall?...and whats the pros and cons of each cell phone ? ... i use my cell alot for calls and txt and go on the net sometimes.

being both higher end LG's, theyre both going to get similar signal (at least when i had the 8700 and 8800, mine were just alike). I think your decion is going to be made from a personal standpoint..whether you prefer flip vs. slider, the metal look of the shine vs the black look of the venus, etc. Personally, I think they both have their strong points but I seem to lean toward the venus.

i'm thinking go for the venus. its newer, at least here in the states. i think down here, the 8700 is on its way out.

I believe the shine doesn't have an expansion for micro SD card but venus does?

I looked at the shine and overall not very impressed...if the venus wasn't out, I'd still stick with chocolate flip..at least its got an external screen and mp3 control with easy to access microsd card expansion slot

I would go with the venus if I were to do an upgrade

here in the states with verizon, the 8700/shine was an update to the 8600/chocolate flip. it does have the microSD card, but lacks the external controls like you mentioned.

the venus is cool. i'd get it. as a matter of fact, i think i'm going to go look on eBay for one now.. lol
