Has anyone found an app that lets you use Outlook on your mobile? I have an w580i if that makes a difference and I'd like to pull my calendar from an exchange server. Thanks!

While this isn't a direct interface, I have a z750 that I use Sony's PC suite to sync the phone with the PC. I don't have that many changes per day, and when they happen, I use the BT interface to update the calender to the phone. You can set the updating to usee the last modified one -- then it will delete in on the PC if you deleted it on the phone.

Again this is not a direct interface, but I view the PC as the Outlook client, and the phone as a portable copy.

Hm...Yea, I was kinda hopeing for a way to do it without using my computer...I guess I'll either give up or keep asking around.

I had the M600i and Sony has basically ActiveSync for that phone... I'm not sure why that isn't available for the W580i. Does anyone know if it would hurt anything to install it?

Hm...that's an idea. Do you have an idea where I could find the ActiveSync program? It seems like the worse that could happen is that it wouldn't be compatible and then I'd simply delete the program.

This model does not have exchange active sync on it. However you can try Road sync from DataViz but that only does email but not calendar AFAIK. This uses Java and talks to exchange. Even if you have Active Sync for Exchange depending on the version of exchange and the level of policies set you may/may not be able to get the mail. I ran into this issue with K850i where it does not support advanced features of Exchange Active Sync and my company uses these features so I was out of luck. The only other brand I have seen/experienced it work is on a Nokia E61i. Good luck. Google for RoadSync and you'll be able to find it.

If you go to sonyericsson.com > support and choose the m600i as the phone, then go to the software download section, you will be able to download activesync from there. Let us know how it goes b/c I'm curious too if I can use exchange on this phone.
