Iphone just lost contacts after sync-HELP!!!

My iphone just synced with itunes and now all of a sudden my contacts info is gone. All the phone #'s are still there under recvd/dialed calls but contact info is totally gone. WTF!!!??? Anyone know where this info is stored on pc? How do I get them back? This on my one and only pc of course.

You could have unchecked sync contacts.

No, actually the only place I had contact info for phone #'s stored was on iphone itself. So why were they erased? And yes, sync with contacts was checked but really there isn;t anywhere else on my pc where I store contact info. So why did that happen? and how do I fix it?

thats why they are lost. when you check sync contacts in iTunes it will replace what's on the phone with whats in your outlook contacts

If i originally synced my iphone contacts with outlook and then for 4 months i've been adding new contacts to my iphone, next time i sync will all new contacts will be added to outlook?

yes they should be in outlook if you have synced your iphone since.

I know they are in outlook, my question is the new contacts i added to my iphone, do they get transfered to outlook when i sync?
