anyone know of any installer programs that are known to screw ur iPhone up or do any type of damage to??

"Ants" makes my phone flip out every time it reboots, so i took it off. So far, thats the only "buggy" program i ran into (pardon the lame pun)!

iPhoneVideoRecorder just crashes everytime I do anything with it (for me).

PYSL. Once the program is installed it works fine but when you go to uninstall it, it screws your phone up resulting in the never ending spinning wheel.

I second that on "Ants", really screwed mine up, especially google maps. Since then, restored and never looked back at programs again until the SDK programs come out.

3 off the top of my head....

- iPhysics makes my screen flicker, and keeps running in the background after I close it, and drains my battery.

- Fring wiped out my SMS database.

- The combination of the "T-Mobile TZones Hack" and BossPrefs made it so Edge wouldn't work on my phone anymore. (had to replace the preferences.plist file with a fresh one)

They need to take the ants app off installer.

It has happened to me twice with Fring running.

Did you happen to install "SMS Timestamp Fix". I was wondering if that was a contributing factor?

+1 for PYSL. But it was fixed easily.. didnt even need a restore (at least in my case it didnt)

caterpilar screwed my phone. But I do have "dock" installed

Ps for iphysics u need to set compability mode and flickering stops

Tap Tap Revolution crashed my phone this morning. Was stuck on the white Apple for a bit, and then figured out how to get it back. Did the reset thing, nothing. Did the reset thing again, held it longer, phone shut off, waited a moment, turned it back on, still stuck on the white Apple. Did all that again, and rather than turning the phone on, plugged it into the charger, phone booted up, all is well.

I experienced issues when installing BeatPhone. I found after installing the program that my phone ran extremely slow and at time would not boot up properly.
After uninstalling the program, my phone returned to normal

and not only my phone but i know few more, who have struggled with that, always ending up restoring.
i suppose it applies for Kate as well?
