anyone seen a way/application to change text color? Maybe for something important in calendar or tasks or memos to change it to red or another color other than black?

Use DateBK or Agendus. Both support font/background colors and icons for calendar events, categories, to-dos and such.

thanks.. but way than I want to get into as they are essentially whole new calendar and memo/task applications. I like the current apps we have just fine as they are, I just wish you could highlight an entry and maybe, from a drop down menu, select a different color text. that simple.
