Hi - just got my new SCIPhone i68 (or Boxu T35; HiPhone i35) and it works great in 850 Unicel (Vermont). The phone has java, but not wireless. I was able to download several java .jar games and they launch great. But then they don't do anything. I hit launch and the open screen comes up, but I can touch anything. The games won't work. Any ideas? Thanks for any help. Also, anyone have any questions about this phone, I'm happy to answer! Michele

What is the specifications of this phone? I see so many different names for this phone. Can you please also tell us what is it called and where did you brought it from? How do you relate or compare the features of this phone with the real iPhone?

Hi Michele, I just got a JaVa32 Quadband Java iPhone Clone - i68/Y32/Sciphone. I have been able to get it working except for a few things I haven't figured out yet.

1) How do I use my mp3 and other audio files on my memry card for ring tones?
2) Related to 1 - How do I set my text message tone to one of my mp3s or files seperately from my voicemail and caller ringtones?
3) How do i use the features I have seen on it such as the image ring turner like the iphone.
4) How do I use wallpapers I have on my memory card that where on my old phone?
5) When the go to google from services common sites the text is in another language, how ever alll the others come up fine in english.

Please help any help you can give would be great.
Thanks

Does SciPhone i68 has a music coverflow menu like real iphone?

Posted by: HolyAlien

Unfortunately no. That is the one thing it doesn't have I wish it did.
According to the person I bought from she claimed that is the ciphone and that it is not able to make it through customes as it has the apple iphone logo on it.
But it does have the slide lock and shake control as well as the auto adjust for video and pics.
When I first got mine i was alittle disappointed at first. But after I played around with it for a few days I have figured out alot of things on it and I am liking it more and more as I find out more on it and how to do things on it.

I am still trying to figure out a few things but it is just amatter of time playing around with it and researching it online before I figure out how to do everything I want to do.

I recommend it I like it alot.

Thank you for the reply.

Are you able to navigate between photos just like the iPhone allows you to?

What kind of Internet it has - I mean GPRS/EDGE ? ?

If I can ask, where did you bought it from?

Thanks for answers, in advance.

Hi all - sorry for the late post - We've been on holiday in Ireland. Anyway, I got my phone from Adrian Co. Ltd in China (http://www.nl8a.com/). I spoke via Messenger to one of the reps over several days. I sent cash $164 + $30 shipping) via Western Union and then gave them my control number. I received the phone about 7-8 days later via TNT (I live in Vermont USA).
The phone absolutely works in 850 as Unicel only works with 850. It also worked in Ireland.
I wish I could answer any more questions, but I haven't been able to figure anything out either. I did finally get it to English (except the google site which is still in Chinese). I can not figure out how to put anything on the memory card that I download - it all seems to install to the phone instead and then freezes and won't work.
Now, after about 30 days, the phone hardly works. I have to grip it very tight for the screen to work and unlock. When the stylus is removed, nothing works. The shake works, but I find it silly and you have to shake it hard.
Also, I can not figure out how to get to my phone book without having to enter a password (set password is 1122 and you can change it). The way to use the phonebook is terrible and takes too many touches. It also takes too many touches to do a lot of stuff.
This phone needs some work!

It has 2 modes of viewing photos list mode and matrix mode
List mode list the photos in list format and display the image in the upper lift corner at top of the window.
Matrix mode show the actual image like thumb nails.

I bought mine from a seller here in USA in from www.zydaglo.com for $210 plus S&H. They are in Tennesse.

It has GSM & GPRS/EDGE and WAP.

So no photo navigation like an iPhone...huh?
Is there any other stark differences in features from iPhone?

I kind of liked the phone but still not very sure how closely it is cloned to iPhone. I would still wait for your indepth analysis of the phone when you get some time.

Thanks

First of It is a good phone. How ever since it is a unlocked phone and from overseas there isno manual for it as there are places that have quick manuals for it but charge any where from 6.99 to 8.99 for the manual.

So all though I am sure there is probably away to do it I have been unable to figure out how to do them.

Some cons are:
1) Have not be able to figure out how to add addtional wallpapers for main display.
2) Unable to add more than 5 custom ring tones to the ring tone list.
You can select replace the ring tone from the ring tone list and add a new one, how ever it will also replace the ring tone the previous ring tone was set to in phone book. Instead of just adding a new one with out changing the set ring to it is set to.
3) Unable to delete any of the default ring tones to add more custom ones.
4) Unable to add or use custome ring tones for the message tone. So far only able to use the default tones in the tones list for message tone.
5) You often have to enter a password to access the phone book.
6) you have to make several clicks to get to things in menu:
For example:
to dial number from phone book
phone book button - then choose one of the search options - enter password - type a leter of the name you want or scrol down to it - then click it with finger or the pen - then click the phone icon at bottom to dial.
7) As there are not alot of US time zones for the date and time settings - you have to choose the one closest to your time zone and often when entering a new area or replace your battery with a charged one it will say new time zone detected and ask if you want to change it and will often mess up your time zone settings.
8) Using internet can be confusing as well as sending multimedia messages.
9) There is no photo navigation like the iphone it is a list or thumb nail view to choose from.
10) There is no zooming in and out on photos or video by using touch screen and your fingers. You can use the zoom buttons to zoom in and then use finger to move the picture around the screen to view areas of picture not on screen up close.

the phone is ok and good and would be better if there was a full manual for it of if some one could figure out how to do some of the things on it like the ring tone issues.

Hope this helps anyone considering this phone.

I have also bought this phone and am having issues with it. Mostly I can't change wallpaper and can't make ringtones what I want. I am waiting for my internet to be turned on at t-mobile to try and download games and other things. I bought mine off ebay and I did get a different pdf manual than what came with the phone from the seller. It still didn't tell me what I need to do to change ringers and wallpaper. Overall happy with the phone so far....

Hi - well, never did get mine to work well as it kept freezing up on me. I had to hold it very tightly to get it to unlock and work. So, they told me to send it back ($27 priority mail) and they are sending new phone which they told me now has a metal back and an owners manual. I will let you know when (and if) it gets here from China....
