SureType Error

I have a 8100 with the latest OS.
When I try to enable the suretype, I get the following error;
"uncaught exception, net.rim.device.api.system.controlledAccessExceptio n".
Then, whatever app I was using closes.
Anyone have an idea how I can solve this? I have done the battery pull already.

What was the application? That usually happens to me when third party software doesn't work well with a particular model. Usually a glitch in the system.

Have you tried doing a hard reset and seeing if the error goes away? It sounds like something has gotten deleted or corrupted and is causing the OS to call a function that doesn't exist.
