Help! Can't Delete Ringtone from TU720 Shine

I added a full mp3 (about 6.4 MB) to the RingTone subfolder (LGAPP/Media/Midis/RingTone) using BitPim, but it's too big to use as a ringtone and now I can't get rid of it! Right-clicking and selecting Delete doesn't do a thing. All that happens is that BitPim shows the Busy symbol at the bottom left of the program for a split second and then just goes back to Ready status, with the mp3 still there. I can delete other mp3s just fine, but these other mp3s are much smaller (the first mp3 I ever added was this full size one -- and it won't leave!).

Any suggestions?

hmm....interesting...umm...try doing it a several times but if it doesnt affect then get a ringtone of your choice and rename to the ringtone you want to delete (but can't) and put it in the directory. what that will do is replace the unwanted ringtone with the new one...hope I helped

Thanks HotSnow I appreciate the response!

I actually tried your idea before but it doesn't work. This is what happens -- let's say the problem file is a 4 minute mp3. If you try to overwrite with a 10 second ringtone, all that happens is that the first 10 seconds of the problem file are overwritten with the ringtone, and the remaining 3 min 50 sec of the mp3 are still there! So the full 6.4 MB stay there, and the file is still too big and unusable....however....

Good news -- I just hooked up my phone and ran BitPim again right now, and all of a sudden, right-click deleting worked fine -- makes no sense! Oh well I'm just glad it finally worked.

So to anyone who experiences the same problem, it seems the solution is simply to exit BitPim and reconnect/restart everything from scratch.
