ok so i bought the motorola roker z6m from metro pcs and its nice and all but i cant f#$$# download games to my phone from my computer or my sd card...ive beeen doing alot of reading and some people say they have a file manager on the phone wich can be done by clicking in the sd card and install well guess what metro dont have that... i know how to get p2k to work and show me the system of the pbone but still i dont know where to put jad files at. someone said somthing about flashing with another carriers firmware. now heres my questions.
if i do a flash on my phone will i still be able to use metro pcs?
will my gps,filemanager and all the other goodies show?
what firmware do u guys recommend for me to flash it with?
i want this sucka unlocked for games ringers and pics...i spent alot of money on a nice phone with a 1gb sd for me not to fill it up cuz metro charges up the A.. for their apps. so please someone help me plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!! :P

MetroPCS uses BREW, not Java. Search, you will find about BREW's limits.

The apps are digitially signed and coded to the hand set on which they were purchase. They can not be transfered from phone to phone. And no one has found an easy way on how to break BREW to allow for copying... (sketchy details were posted, BUT the thread was deleted because it was against forum rules.)

You could try using the firmware from another wireless carrier. Bell and Telus are two CDMA carriers that use JAVA instead of BREW. However, I'd suggest you first read -> http://mark.cdmaforums.com/crossflash.htm

But, Mr. Venture, MetroPCS and Alltel are the only two carriers that carry the Z6m, and Verizon carries the Z6tv; but, Alltel is the only one to have leaked their firmware. So, sorry to say that it can't be done.

Yeah, I didn't look to see who beyond Alltel carries the Z6m...

just saying that would be the only way it could be possible.

It may be possible to flash your phone with a telus flash still....... However you would want to make sure that the flash file is for a phone with almost the exact same hardware........ None the less you poss a serious risk of bricking your phone. maybe beyond repair.

Err wait there are alot of leaked firmwares for this phone the Z6Mtv and Z6M are virtually identical and none the less the flashes for them do indeed work with the Z6M. here is a link to a great source for CDMA Moto Flash files.

its actually pretty easy to do it might work with verizon but i dont know the brew addy for verizon so i couldnt tell you
