Okay so i love my touch but im getting fed up, im now on my second touch in 3 months, and its the same problem.
first off im with telus. okay with that said, my phone will freeze constantly, not as bad as my first one mind you, then it wont find my bluetooh ear piece when i try to pair it to the phone, and i know im doing it right because it was working no problem before, then it just removed the device from my phone. when using windows media player, i am unable to shut the screen off and continue to listen my media, it just pauses the plauer. i dont think thats right, because thats just a big waste of battery life. and i have read thru the fourm and seen somthing about overclocking. but the page that was linked on the thread was for the sprint touch, would it work for the telus touch?

i think thats most of the problems that i can think of right now, but i do have one question, i like to browse sites like you tube and things, and they dont use windows media player, therefore i cant watch or listen to any thing that is not a windows media file. would downloading another player fix this problem, and possibly my other problem with my media player pausing when i shut the screen off?

There is a setting in WMP to allow music to keep playing while the screen is off. Or you can use HTC Audio Manager which does this automatically but you have to download this and install it on your player. Many people like it better since it has an ipod like menu system.

They only browser that fully supports flash and web 2.0 sites is skyfire which is still in beta. However there are alternatives to view youtube videos and sites that have videos. You can try TCPMP and flashvideobundle, or vtap, or htc streaming media. You can find those cabs at ppcgeeks.com or xda-developers.com or just google for it. My personally choice was TCPMP and flashvideobundle until I got the skyfire beta.

okay, so ive looked through all the settings on my wmp and i can not fins any settings for that, so i installed the HTC audio manager, and to my surprise, same thing, when i shut my screen off, the music stops. turn the screen on, music plays. okay so there has to be some way around this, cuz that would just be stupid, anyone have any suggestions? as for skyfire, i cant get it as i live in canada.

Just tried it with HTC Audio Manager and it works fine. In WMP if you go to menu --> options --> buttons. Scroll all the way down and you will see screen toggle. Just program that to whatever button you want and it should do the trick.
