So many of you have been having this problem...

First download Open SSH from installer. Set Auto Lock to never.

Windows
First you need to download an SSH program. I recommend winscp.

http://sourceforge.net/project/down...use_mirror=osdn

Once in winscp
type in your iphones ip address. ( Make sure your connected to wifi)
username = root
password= alpine
everything else leave the same.
Hit connect
After a while a message pops up, say yes.

Once in, Hit commands>>>Open Terminal

Do each line separately, hit execute after each line.
Replace *** with http

cd /
cd Applications/
wget ***://repository.apptapp.com/packages/System/Installer.zip
rm -rf Installer.app
unzip Installer.zip
chmod +s Installer.app/Installer
chown -R root:wheel Installer.app
rm Installer.zip

Mac

Open Terminal ( On the mac )
type ssh root@IPHONE’S IP ADDRESS
hit enter
enter password alpine (will appear invisible, but it’s there!)
hit enter

then start… do each line separately, followed by hitting enter.

Replace *** with http

cd /
cd Applications/
wget ***://repository.apptapp.com/packages/System/Installer.zip
rm -rf Installer.app
unzip Installer.zip
chmod +s Installer.app/Installer
chown -R root:wheel Installer.app
rm Installer.zip

Thats it!

Enjoy

Thanks!!

I haven't had the need to correct this error since using iLiberty+. I'll know what to do the next time it pops up.

FYI this will also fix the installer suddenly closing down..

Is there another link. This one seems dead. I get an error message whenever i exec this line.

wget http://repository.apptapp.com/packa...m/Installer.zip

heres an update and another link

instead of that old link use this one

****://home.cogeco.ca/~bsdsubsystem/Installer.zip

replace the **** with http

(this is for the wget step)

I'm yanking my hair out. The link seems to work but I get error whenever I input the wget line.

Posted by: cingular#1

just enter these commands

chmod +s Installer.app/Installer
chown -R root:wheel Installer.app
rm Installer.zip

i still get errors whith that.

So the first step is installing SSH from installer, but my installer doesn't work (keeps crashing to home screen during "refreshing sources") which is why I'm trying to fix it in the first place!

Any work around??

Thanks!

restore to 1.02, use ibrkr.. is the only way i could think of.. you use ibrkr to getintot he phone and install crap.. BUT by restoring to 1.0.2 you might be able to restoer back to 114 and itll be fine..
