annoying typing feature help!

not sure what it's called but it's when as you're typing a text message the phone tries to guess what word you're trying to type and automatically fills it in for you....

does anyone know how to turn that off on the iphone?

I only spell correctly on the iPhone about 25% of the time and I imagine that is about average. Turning it off is not recommended. I can't find any way to turn it off, anyways, so I seriously doubt it can be done.

I'm actually hitting about 80-90% now.. it's kind of funny, because if someone asks if it's hard to type I try to show them the auto correct, but I always get it right, so I end up having them do it instead LOL.

Search and install a tweak app called Kb2. It will add a feature to turn on and off your auto correction.

do u need a fully unlocked iphone to do this? the one i'm using is not unlocked. just plain old iphone used with cingular.

You can just jailbreak it with Ziphone software. You don't have to fully unlock but can if you want. Once you jailbreak, go to Installer icon and look for Kb2 app and install. You can't do it unless you at least jailbreak it. This allows you to load software that from a third party that is not from Apple.

his iphone is the newest version. are there ne side effects if jailbreaking it? is it possible to brick the phone from just jailbreaking it?

sorry i ask retarded questions. its actually my dads phone and i dont really kno too much about the iphone.
